Dr. Lau graduated from Massey University, New Zealand in 2016. Prior to her veterinary degree, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with minor in Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences at University of Guelph, in 2011. She returned to Toronto to begin working in general practice upon graduation. Dr. Lau is passionate about improving the lives of her patients and clients through quality care. During the early stages in her career, she also had the fortunate opportunity to volunteer in Nicaragua with World Vets and Samoa to provide free surgery and veterinary health services to local livestock, stray animals and pets. Dr. Lau was awarded Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society Award for Proficiency in Emergency and Critical Care from her graduating class in 2016 for exceptional proficiency in patient care and commitment to the specialty area. She truly loves the variety and challenges that veterinary medicine provides.
Away from work, she is an avid cook and fitness enthusiast. She enjoys travelling, hiking and spending time outdoors. You will spot her frequently in the gym or a local coffee shop. Her most current goal would be starting a furry family with her newlywed husband!
